Tasting Notes: 2018 was an excellent vintage for McLaren Vale. A long cool ripening period allowed excellent flavour development during fruit ripening in the vineyard. The long ripening period creates Shiraz with great intensity, flavour and complex tannins.

This linchpin Shiraz has bright red berry fruit, dark blackberry fruit, and chocolate layered beneath. Aged for 22 months in hand selected French oak gives this wine fine-grain tannin complexity and softness with a long smooth balanced palate. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years due to the extremely low sulphur content.

Dark ruby red with plum purple hues.

Intense aromas of chocolate, plums, blackberry, blueberry, with cinnamon, cherries and olives.

The palate is full-bodied linear and seamless. Concentrated flavours of cherry, plums, blackberry, blueberry fruits. Complex mid-palate flavours of chocolate, tobacco, olives and savoury notes, with coffee and toasty charry oak supporting. The palate is long and juicy with a tight finish of ripe but fine, integrated tannins.

Cellaring: 10 years, due to extremely low sulphur levels

Food Pairing: Fantastic with BBQ meats and rich flavours
